On Dashami night the lights leave the pandals.
After sindur khela, each committee loads its goddess and its light panels onto lorries and joins a loop of about 9 km through the town at its own point on the route. Every lorry goes round the same loop once and leaves where it joined, so each committee starts and ends in the same place. Then the goddess goes back to her pandal, and from there out for immersion. Street power is usually switched off along the route for safety, so almost all the light you see is riding on the lorries.
